From the U.S., we’d gathered every piece she needed: accessories, jewelry, gifts… and one special makeup kit she’d chosen to make her feel radiant. But when shipping delays turned urgent, we were left scrambling. We rebooked my uncle’s flight. We waited overnight for the package. I spent 24 sleepless hours in the airport begging travelers to help, even offering to pay for their luggage space. But no one could risk carrying a stranger’s item without trust or a system.That moment, full of heartbreak, love, and desperation, revealed a deeper problem. This wasn’t just about a makeup kit. It was about how disconnected diasporas are from home, and how we’ve all silently accepted shipping systems that are broken, expensive, and impersonal.But what if we could change that?What if we could turn every international traveler into a trusted bridge between loved ones?
